Hello, my name is Mrs. Rapp. I am the school library media specialist at Northwood Elementary School. I really enjoy working with students and families in the Hilton Central School District.

Since I was a little girl, I've enjoyed reading. One of my favorite books and movies is the Secret Garden. If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it.

Speaking of gardens, gardening is one of my hobbies. Over the years, I've grown vegetables, raspberries, grapes and of course, flowers. Our first house had a secret garden that was overgrown. As we started cleaning things up, so many flowers and plants appeared and we were so happily surprised.

Another hobby of mine is collecting antiques. Actually, I like to go "junking". I have found that I really like old things and enjoy giving items a new life in our house.

I like poetry and used to write it when I was in elementary school. I have my old poetry journal somewhere in my attic and am hoping to find it soon. It is fun to go back and read what I wrote so many years ago.

Libraries and book stores are my favorite places to visit, besides Keuka Lake.
