Charge Policy
Elementary School
Elementary students are permitted to charge meals following the outlined procedure. We realize at this age level losing or forgetting meal money does occur. 1. When it is necessary to charge a lunch the student may charge a standard school lunch, complete with all selections. 2. Three is the maximum number of charges a student may owe. After three charges, the student will receive a sandwich and beverage. 3. Students are not allowed to purchase ala carte items if outstanding lunch charges exist other than a beverage. 4. Weekly letters are sent home with students who have outstanding accounts. 5. When no response is received, the Director of School Food Service or building Cook Manager will contact the parent via telephone or through a postal letter. If no response is received after this and the child continues to come to school with no lunch and no funds, the matter will be turned over to a school counselor or appropriate authority.

Middle School
• If a student is without funds, PB & J and beverage will be provided. • If a student is repeatedly without funds and food the Cook Manager or Director of Food Service will contact the family. • If no response is received after this and the child continues to come to school with no lunch and no funds, the matter will be turned over to a school counselor or appropriate authority.
High School
No charging is allowed. Students must secure funds from other sources.
