MC ESCHER WAS A FAMOUS ARTIST. HE CREATED MANY IMPRESSIVE WORKS OF ART WHICH COMBINE MATH AND ART. ESCHER WAS WELL KNOWN FOR TESSELLATIONS, SHAPES WHICH INTERLOCK AND REPEAT WITHOUT GAPS OR OVERLAPS. HE ALSO USED MATH IN PERSPECTIVE TO CREATE BUILDINGS AND CAPTURING DETAIL IN REFLECTIONS AND SELF PORTRAITS. CHECK OUT SOME OF HIS ARTWORK.


IN ART, EACH STUDENT CREATED THEIR OWN UNIQUE PIECE OF  GRADE LEVEL COMMUNITY TESSELLATIONS. KINDERGARTEN CREATED BUTTERFLIES, FIRST GRADE DESIGNED FISH, SECOND AND THIRD GRADES CREATED BIRDS, FOURTH GRADE DESIGNED TURTLES AND FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADERS MADE LIZARDS. SEE HOW WONDERFUL THEY ALL LOOK TOGETHER!
