Summer is coming soon. You may be thinking about what your students will do for meals while school is out. The good news is that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has partnered with the Gates Chili and Greece School Districts to serve FREE meals. It’s food that’s in, while school is out. The other good news is that there are no income requirements and no registration necessary. The Summer Food Program is fully funded by the USDA. Any child 18 and under may come to eat. Meals must be eaten on site and parents/guardians may also purchase a meal for a nominal fee of $3 or $3.25 for lunch and $1.50 for breakfast. Transportation will not be provided to participate in the Summer School Food Service Program.
