To access the BLOG for your guided reading group, click on the book you are currently reading. Before you get started, here are a few guidelines to remember when Blogging.
  1. This is a response to your reading, so you should write as if you were writing anything else in school (complete sentences, proper capitalization and punctuation, etc.).
  2. Please indicate who you are in your BLOG so we can respond to you.
  3. If you don't agree with someone's ideas, say so and explain your thoughts. Remember, you are agreeing or disagreeing with their ideas, please don't criticize people. There is a good way and a bad way to make a point or say something and if we insult people this won't work.
  4. I have worked hard to select interesting books that you'll enjoy. I am open to new books and ideas so let me know if you've read a great book that I can use in the future.
  5. Be a risk-taker and don't be afraid to express yourself!

Check out Mr. Weingart's Must Reads! These are books that have been carefully selected to earn a much coveted spot on the "top shelf." They are great books and should be read only when they are "just right" books for you. So turn off the TV and bellyflop into a book!

If you came and you found a strange man... teaching your kids to punch each other, or trying to sell them all kinds of products, you'd kick him right out of the house, but here you are; you come in and the TV is on, and you don't think twice about it.
