Welcome to Hilton's School Center
Classroom Website Training Page

The 2003-04 school year was the original pilot year for classroom websites using the content manager School Center. While we anticipated a slow roll-out of this product, We found that teachers were so excited about its ease of use that we had over 30 classroom websites created in less than a year.

The application is easy to learn and use and teachers can work on their site from any computer with an internet connection. We currently have over 180 sites created using School Center including some district sites created by students as part of Kris Weishaar's Technical Writing class.

Check out the classroom website regulations on the District's site . We have a checklist that all teachers must review to help guide their work; this checklist must be completed and returned to Patti Sullivan prior to being linked on the district Classroom Websites page. This checklist is available in the Useful Documents link at the left, in the Training folder.

This year, teachers may submit their website as part of the technology incentive. To qualify, the site must be "active" and help improve learning. An active site may be one that parents and/or students will return to for information, handouts, or links. Samples of "learning" include a project explanations, links specifically used for a content learning, and handouts. The website incentive form is also available in the Useful Documents link, in the Tech Incentive folder.
